In Limbo Again........

California Supreme Court granted review in the legal challenges to Proposition 8, which passed by a narrow margin of 52 percent on November 4. In an order issued yesterday, the Court agreed to hear the case and set an expedited briefing schedule. The Court also denied an immediate stay which means Prop 8 holds, no more marriages will happen unless it's overturned in the hearing. The hearing is expected to happen in March. Also during that hearing the decision will be made for the 18,000 gay and lesbian couples who married during the time California had equal rights for everyone. The opponents of gay marriage are up to their normal scare tactics and have warned that they will work to oust any justice who votes against Proposition 8. threats threats threats, thats how they work....I wonder how their children see this? So for the next 4 months, my marriage will be in limbo while people decide if gay love is worthy enough for marriage. sigh
