WE WONT GIVE UP

From Prop 8's success in the polls, where the people of California voted for YES to bigotry, YES to discrimination, YES to second-class status for same-sex couples.....but only by a 5% margin.....

Activist and writer Anne Lamott writes, “Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don't give up.”

She's right.

Did you create this blog specifically because of the result on prop.8?

It's very frustrating, as a non-USAmerican, to watch all of this and be unable to cast any vote.

Keep up the good fight! ... I too was a bit shocked by the California. vote for 8. Here in Canada, we've always thought of California as the state of love and freedom.

Great Blog Jude! Never give up! Just wait till the 'other ones' want something for their agenda and it's not voted on! Let's hear the noise they make about it! Not being able to vote, as a non-american..were I able to, you know which way I would have voted!
