Stop and Smell

Life has been busy here and that's a good thing, I guess. It does make for an interesting challenge in prioritizing what things to devote my time too though. As you can see, blogging has taken a lower step, for now.

Time for a little catching up.

Guitar lessons - Having.A.Blast Only have one more week left and I think today, I'm going to go shopping for a guitar. I know what I want now and I better get one soon since I'll have to turn in the rental next week. BTW, the StrumNut guy, he's been sitting in the front and Cousin S and I have been sitting behind him so he hasn't been bothering us. Every week though he comes in and starts playing and singing way out of tune, Amazing Grace. He's a happy guy. This week though he got yelled at by a woman across the room...."SIR, We can't hear the instructor". S and I laughed. It's been fun and I definitely want to continue to play and learn.

My Dad is doing ok. Still going to PH for his back. He has some rough mornings getting around making 100 grunts and groans. But when the fitness Spa called to confirm our stay for next year and I asked him if we were going again? Shit, he turned into a kid with all smiles and said yes! So Walleyball in May for two weeks and I still have to break that news to Mrs Jude. Wish me luck.

Work has made a turn for me. I've been in a slump, bored with the shit I have to do but now working with my manager, we've made a decent plan to get me into something else. So, I'm looking forward and even a little excited to the new shift in my role.

Last weekend we went to a RV show and found the type we would someday buy. It was fun climbing into the different kinds of RV's and pretending. Mrs Jude even said that we would sell our house, buy a RV to live in and travel all around. I think my eyes popped out of my head because I never expected to hear that from her. Maybe she had a little heat stroke going on or something.

Mrs Jude got a new hairdo the other day. She's been a little bummed out so I suggested for her to go and get her hair done, you know colored and cut, professionally. One of our friends gave her a name of a hair dresser and she went in this week and came home all smiles. I'm still thanking the universe for that and for two reasons. One, I didn't have to yank her hair through a million holes in a stupid skull cap and two, she's very happy with the results.

This Saturday my Bro and Sis-in-law are showing up for a week stay. Mrs Jude and I are taking a couple of days off from work. On Sunday we leave to go to Palm Springs for 3 days. We're planning on going to a Sunday night drag show at the one bar we like to go to and we'll be at the pool during the day, shopping, eating, get some casino time in too oh, and Mrs Jude and I are looking forward to some hotel s.e.x. Which reminds me, maybe we shouldn't get adjoining rooms hey?

That's it for now. Hope you all have a great weekend.

A color and cut can make the world of difference! :)

My friend's parents sold their house and live in an RV and they love it. It seems like a very cool way to live.

Have fun this weekend!

Have a great weekend! And give Dad a hug from me for being such a trooper. He sounds like the coolest of cool.

PS...I'm still waiting for a gee-tar concert from you. Come have one of those fancy schmancy phones that can record it don'tcha?

Sheesh...ya act like I'm asking for you to record a hotel s-e-x concert or something. Hmmmpf!

Have a great time in PS. I hope the spa reminders may keep your dad up and moving. It's a real challenge to keep my mom moving enough and the aches get worse.

Wow! You do have a lot going on in your life! I miss my Yamaha guitar; I gave it to my daughter. I got tired of lending it to people. Enjoy your vacation. So jealous!

I've said many times, there's nothing that comes out of a prescription bottle that feels as good as getting your hair done. Glad Mrs. Jude is all smiles!
Very jealous of your guitar lessons... if I had the time and the cash, I'd be doing exactly the same thing! Have you learned "Kumbaya" yet? I hear all guitar students have to; it's the law.

You certainly sound like you've been busy. Glad things are going well and the Mrs. is happy...that makes all the difference. ;)

Now I'm dying to hear about your RV selection. No RV shows around here this time of year. Everyone is too busy looking at the latest and greatest in ice-fishing houses. Are you going to get behind the wheel of one of those huge Class A motorhomes?

Palm Springs sounds fab...definitely go for non-adjoining rooms. In fact the further apart the better! said...

I've noticed that you haven't been blogging as much, but it sounds like you're busy having a a great time! That's a good enough reason for me, bro.
